Here's the card I made him.
On the envelope, I stamped my hand-carved groom twice, and a number of phrases like "best friend, love of my life, soon, my husband, etc."... Except I accidentally used a d in place of a b in my haste to finish it early yesterday morning!
The background was made with a hero arts stencil, and the succulents and coordinating dies are Lawn Fawn's "Stuck On You" set. The letters were an ABC Lawn Fawn set and I used hearts from a few of LF's other sets. Paper was paper bag, superfine softwhite, and chartreuse from Paper Source. I borrowed the idea for the card from another Lawn Fawnie I found on Pinterest! :)
Hi! Love your card - this stamp set is so fun and I LOVE how you personalised the envelope - adorable! I just noticed the comment you left on Karolyn's card on the Avery Elle blog about the debossing? You can TOTALLY do this with your die cutting machine - you just need some sort of cushion to allow the die to impress rather that cut. I have a Big Shot and have a black rubber sheet about the size of a cutting pad. I also use a multi purpose platform with two (I think) of the flaps flipped back (to give less thickness) Then make a sandwich of cutting plate 1, rubber mat (Cuttlebug have a tan mat but they do the same thing) cardstock, die, cutting plate 2. Just experiment with your layers etc as every machine is different. This is such a fun technique - I've used it loads of times and of course it can be used to emboss your die as well as deboss depending on the layers you use! If I've explained it horribly then just have a mooch through You Tube and there are tons of great tutorials on there. Have fun.
